Osterville, Mass. - Savant Systems introduced two tabletop touchpanels in 9- and 13-inch widescreen sizes to control home systems.
The 9-inch TTP-109B and 13-inch TTP-113B
feature TFT LCD displays with capacitive
touch interface to control lighting systems, thermostats, security systems and
multizone A/V systems. The panels also display full-motion video from such sources
as cable or satellite set-top boxes, security cameras and video servers, the
company said.
The touchpanels require a single CAT5e cable connection to a Rosie home-control system. Power must be provided locally.
All buttons are configurable for multiple functions to launch favorite scenes. Each touchpanel also incorporates integrated microphone and speakers to confirm a button press with an audible alert or function as an intercom system.
The screens feature a top coat to resist scratches while making it easy to glide fingers over the surface. Each can be personalized in a variety of colors, styles and themes.
Both models will be displayed at the company's booth at the CEDIA Expo in Atlanta from Sept. 10-13. Pricing was unavailable.
