Secaucus, N.J. — Samsung will ship three new models in its NV-series of digital cameras, including its first 12-megapixel camera, to dealers in the fall.
All the new cameras feature Samsung’s “smart touch” interface, 3x optical zoom Schneider lenses, 2.5-inch LCDs, 14 scene modes, 20MB of internal memory, 3200 ISO and new auto contrast-balance and noise-reduction modes.
Additional features shared by all the new models include
, a feature capable of detecting up to nine faces and adjusting exposure and focus accordingly, VGA movie recording at 30 fps with digital stabilization and the ability to use the zoom lens while recording.
The 12-megapixel NV20 will retail for a suggested $399, while the 10-megapixel NV15 will retail for $299. Pricing and availability have not yet been announced for the 8-megapixel NV8.
