Ridgefield Park, N.J.  - Samsung Techwin America, a supplier of video surveillance and security products, said it has appointed Dr. Edward Wassall as IP product and business development director.

He will report to Frank DeFina, Samsung's sales and marketing senior VP, North America.

Wassall will manage the sales and development aspects of Samsung's IP technology and security product portfolio, and will work with its field-management teams to increase sales of the IP security product line and to develop and maintain high levels of product value and industry recognition, the company said. He will also continue to work closely with the ONVIF standards body as Samsung's contributing member.
