Video & Audio Center To Sell LG Signature OLED At Exclusive Super Bowl Event

SoCal tech chain Video & Audio Center (VAC) and LG Electronics are teaming up again on Super Sunday to kick off a state-of-the-art TV.

The retailer will host a private party at L.A.’s exclusive Bel Air Crest Club House, where 150 of its top clients will view the Big Game on LG’s new 65-inch 4K UHD HDR Signature-series G6 OLED — and will have the chance to be among the first in the country to purchase one.

According to VAC corporate director Tom Campbell, the retailer expects to sell 20 to 30 of the just-introduced displays. The ultra-premium sets will be available for pre-order at $7,999 a pop immediately after a 60-second Signature spot starring actor Liam Neeson airs after halftime.

Also on hand for the gala will be VAC co-owner Joseph Akhtarzad; LG executives, engineers and factory representatives; and CE industry experts, Campbell said.

The Super Bowl party reprises last year’s kick-off event, in which VAC unveiled LG’s 105-inch curved 4K UHD TV with 21:9 panoramic display, and sold one of the $100,000 sets to a guest — who later became the first in the nation to receive delivery.
