Stellar Celebrates 15th Year With Name Change And More

Allen, Texas — Stellar Home Theater and Beyond, formerly Starlight, is celebrating its 15th year as a systems integrator with a new name, a new website, and expanded services, offerings and locations.

The company, based here in this Dallas suburb, said the new badge better reflects its expansion and high-quality service, the way “a stellar event like a supernova scatters energy and light across the universe.”

Poetic imagery aside, the company has in fact expanded dramatically over the past 15 years, adding design centers in Dallas, Plano, Westlake and Austin, while its first Houston location is expected to open later this year.

Services include home cinema and dedicated home theaters, home automation, lighting, shade systems, structured wiring and security systems, plus interior design and design/build services.

“Starlight, now Stellar, has provided highly differentiated luxury and high-performance audio-visual and automation services to our clientele for 15 years,” said president/CEO Shane Bala. “Our new name reflects our continued commitment to offering ‘stellar’ service backed by our ‘stellar’ staff’s years of experience.”

The company credits its expansion to a burgeoning home automation and home cinema marketplace, and a differentiated business model that “couples a show home or an experience center with a synergistic business.”

It said its design centers are staffed with highly-trained and certified system programmers, architects, designers, cabinet makers, electricians, painters, and floor and window covering experts who work directly with manufacturers, builders, designers and end-users to design and deliver dream projects in “a straightforward, turnkey manner.”

The company is also a member of the Austin and Dallas Builders Associations and the American Society of Interior Designers, and is a regular participant in local chapter events.

As part of its anniversary activities, Stellar has launched a new website at LiveStellarNow.com, and will hold showcase events for manufacturers, builders, designers, and end-users throughout the year.
