Dallas – Ed Kellum & Son, the super-premium majap dealer acquired two years ago by Starpower, formally opened the doors to its recently relocated showroom today.
The new Highland Park store integrates luxury appliances with state-of-the-art A/V, and features live, completely outfitted kitchens and interactive media areas modeled after home environments, the company said.
CE brands include Sony, Samsung, Epson, Bose, Paradigm and Sonos, while featured majap brands include Kitchenaid, Whirlpool, Amana, Thermador, Viking, Jenn-Air, Sub-Zero and Wolf.
“We are thrilled to open the new Ed Kellum & Son and the latest evolution in this incredible business,” said Daniel Pidgeon, chairman and co-founder of Starpower, which offers luxury A/V, appliances, flooring and installation, integration and remodeling services. “We knew when we acquired the business that it would eventually be moving. We are excited we have the opportunity to showcase the latest in appliances and electronics.”
The 2011 acquisition provided Starpower an entrée into the high-margin luxury majap category.
Kellum relocated earlier this year to a former Modia location, the third move in its 64-year history, and also maintains a presence in Starpower’s newly remodeled flagship store in North Dallas.
Kellum will be holding grand opening events now through Oct. 20th, including live cooking demos, CE demos, promotional giveaways and live TV and radio remotes.
