PRO Group Adds Beacon To Vendor Roster

Dallas – The Progressive Retailers Organization (PRO Group) has named Beacon Audio as an approved group vendor.

Beacon launched late last year as a “lifestyle” CE brand with a narrow line of high-performance headphones and the Phoenix high-output, high-value wireless Bluetooth speaker.

“We’re positively delighted to be recognized and accepted by PRO Group,” said Beacon CEO Del Williams. “We believe our product, our brand message and our event-based go-to-market strategy is completely in synch with [parent division] ProSource’s attention and focus on the next generation of audio products including high-end headphones and wireless speakers.

ProSource, the specialty A/V and custom-install division of the BrandSource buying group, recently announced a strategic focus on the new wave of audio products including high-end headphones, wireless speakers and premium soundbars.

“The opportunity to reach the high-caliber market makers that comprise the ProSource membership is a terrific boost to our present day marketing efforts and presents greater occasion to leverage our extensive music industry relationships,” Williams said.

Beacon will be attending its first PRO Group Spring Meeting next month in San Antonio. The up-market A/V specialty group has 14 major regional members, including The Big Screen Store, Bjorn’s Audio/Video, Car Toys, Crutchfield, Electronics Expo, Huppin’s/OneCall, J&R Music and Computer World, Modia and  TransWorld Entertainment.

PRO joined with Home Entertainment Source (HES) in 2011 to form ProSource, a $3.1 billion member-owned cooperative with more than 500 retailers and 950 storefronts.

Salt Lake City-based Beacon is the sister company of Right Arm Entertainment, a promoter and producer of concerts and live music events in North America.
