Updated! The Colony, Texas – Nebraska Furniture Mart formally cut the ribbon to its third and largest mega-emporium on Thursday.
The 560,000-square-foot showroom, located here in this Dallas suburb, has been open to the public for weeks. But this week’s ceremony, featuring president/COO Ron Blumkin and local officials, makes it official.
With more than 100,000 SKUs, the store is considered the largest-volume home furnishings outlet in North America. It was projected by majority stakeholder Warren Buffet to do $1 billion in annual sales.
