Monoprice Opens Its 1st Retail Store

Monoprice has opened its first brick-and-mortar store.

The manufacturer and online seller of CE accessories and small appliances planned a ribbon-cutting on Wednesday morning at the new store, located in the company’s Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., headquarters. Measuring 1,900 square feet, it replaces Monoprice’s original will-call store, opened four years ago. The new store is three times the size of the will-call one, with twice as many products, said the company.

In addition to offering a selection of its best-selling items, the store will feature a series of demo areas for the audio, home theater, 3D printing, security, gaming, home appliance and outdoor categories.

The company noted in a statement that the opening celebrates its 15-year anniversary and “renewed commitment to directly meet the needs of its consumers.”

Newegg opened a similar retail pick-up/showcase hybrid location in 2014.
