Attention Amazon Prime subscribers: Yet another new perk has been added.
Amazon announced that Prime subscribers in Seattle can now order restaurant delivery using the Prime Now app. Delivery is free (for a limited time) and will arrive in an hour or less.
Amazon said it plans to extend the program beyond the Seattle ZIP code. Gus Lopez, general manager of Amazon Restaurants, noted that the partnership has spurred some of the restaurants to offer delivery service for the first time.
Amazon said its Now app allows customers to view participating restaurants, browse menus, place orders and track the status of their delivery in real time.
