Adorama, the Manhattan CE, IT and digital imaging specialty store, is partnering with Canon for a camera scavenger hunt spanning all of New York City.
Starting today and for the next four days, Canon will hide a Canon EOS 7D Mark II camera kit near a different iconic Big Apple landmark. Adorama will help followers find the DSLR by posting clues on social media using the hashtag #AdoramaxCanonNYCHunt, while local news radio station WCBS-AM shares additional clues on air.
Those outside the New York metro area can still vie for five additional Mark IIs — on sale today at Adorama for $1,199 — through an online raffle and Instagram contest using hashtag #AdoramaxCanonNYCHunt.
Adorama is the nation’s 40th largest CE dealer, according to TWICE’s Top 100 CE Retailers rankings, and is a top ten CE e-tail favorite among Consumer Reports readers. The retailer has demonstrated a knack for event marketing by holding annual street fairs and other fetes at its Chelsea store, and last year partnered with Canon on a kickoff gala for the Mark II that drew an appearance by New Jersey rocker Jon Bon Jovi.
