Tweeter Sales Move Up 3%
Canton, Mass. — Revenue at the Tweeter Home Entertainment Group increased 3 percent in the retailer’s second fiscal quarter, climbing to $187.2 million from a year-ago $182 million.

OfficeMax Q1 Retail Sales Flat

Itasca, Ill. — The closing of 109 underperforming stores in the first quarter negatively impacted overall sales at office products retailer OfficeMax, with retail segment revenue declining 0.5 percent year-on-year, down to $1.19 billion from $1.20 billion.

Office Depot N.A. Retail Sales Rise 5%

Delray Beach, Fla. — Racking up its ninth consecutive quarter of positive comp-store sales, the North American retail division at office products and services retailer Office Depot increased its quarterly sales 5 percent in the first three months, coming in at $1.8 billion, up from $1.7 billion the previous year. Comps rose 3 percent.

Amazon N.A. CE Sales Rise 33%

Seattle — First-quarter sales in the North American electronics and other general merchandise segment at Amazon.com climbed 33 percent, hitting $374 million, up from a year-ago $282 million. This business includes consumer electronics, camera, photo and office.
