Foster City, Calif. - Sony Computer Entertainment said this week that HBO content will be added to the expanding video offerings for its PlayStation3 and PlayStation Portable gaming platforms.

The move makes the two consoles the first gaming devices to provide access to HBO original programming in the U.S.

Limited numbers of episodes of popular HBO programming from "True Blood" to "The Wire" will be available at launch for instant streaming through the PlayStation Network Store, but the library will be expanded on a weekly basis, Sony said.
