Cobra Offers High-Powered Pocket-Sized Charger

Chicago — Cobra Electronics has begun shipping its JumPack, a pocket-sized portable device charger that can also jump-start a vehicle.

Slightly larger than a deck of cards and weighing 10 ounces, the Cobra JumPack can deliver a 200-amp starting current, 400-amp peak current and 2.1-amp USB output from its 7,500 mAh rechargeable lithium-cobalt battery.

The unit also comes with a built-in LED flashlight with a strobe and SOS function for emergencies, jumper cables, an LED battery-status indicator, and cables for outlet charging and 12-volt in-vehicle charging.

“Through ingenious design and engineering, Cobra took the traditional power pack device and completely redesigned it, confining a power pack to just a few square inches,” said Sally Washlow, Cobra president.

The Cobra JumPack is available now through Amazon, BestBuy.com, Crook & Crook, Fry’s, Gander Mountain, Newegg.com, Overton’s and Rakuten.com, as well as Cobra.com, for a retail of $129.
