Baltimore - Polk Audio has begun shipping its long-awaited flagship series of LSiM home speakers, which replaces the company's near-decade-old flagship LSi series with a ground-up redesign to step up performance and price points.
PolkThe six speakers in the series had been originally targeted for March shipment.

 The products will be displayed at the 2011 Rocky Mountain Audio Fest in Denver  this week.

 Product line management VP Mark Suskind called it "the most advanced speaker line we've built in our 40 year history."

The new LSi M series is also positioned as an affordable option for serious listeners.

The series tops out with a four-way floorstanding tower at a $3,999/pair, up from the LSI series' top-end model at $2,500/pair. The series also includes a second four-way floorstanding towers targeted at $2,999/pair, two three-way center-channel speakers at $749 and $1,195 each,  a three-way bookshelf speaker at $1,499/pair, and a three-way bipole surround at $1,499/pair.
