Long Beach, Calif. - Pioneer Electronics has introduced and started shipping an aftermarket PC Blu-ray drive.

The BDR-206MBK internal Blu-ray drive, $199, uses the multi-layer recordable Blu-ray Disc format (BDXL) that doubles the amount of data that can be stored on a single disc. This enables up to 128GB of data to be burned onto a quadruple layer disc and 100GB on a triple layer disc.
