Edmond, Okla. - Petra Industries, the CE distributor based here, received an American Marketing Association Award of Excellence for its web efforts.

At the Oklahoma City American Marketing Association Awards ceremony Thursday Petra's 2009 Web site overhaul won the award in the Single Marketing Tactic category based on strategy, tactics, use of budget and tangible, measurable results.

Petra's award was based on features such as its online catalogs, online customer applications and the Petra Pulse and 5-in-5 video segments among other enhancements, the distributor said.

"We have an amazing team who does amazing work," said Jenny Herzberger, Petra's marketing director. "Our Web sales grew phenomenally after the launch, and continue to rise. This award comes as a result of the phenomenal work Petra's Web marketing team has done over the past year, and we are very honored to receive it."
