WiSA Names Thomas Lee President

San Francisco — The Wireless Speaker and Audio (WiSA) Association has named Thomas Lee president, replacing Jim Venable.

Lee’s resume includes more than 30 years of executive management, administration, communications and marketing experience in the technology market sector. He has held management roles at Intel and Cirrus Logic, as well as several technology start-up companies, providing products to the high-volume consumer products market.

WiSA thanked Venable in a statement “for his efforts in establishing a solid foundation for the association. His hard work resulted in 30 companies joining the Association to support the vision of bringing interoperable, high-quality, wireless home-theater audio products to the market. WiSA-compliant products are setting a new standard for wireless audio quality and ease of use. We wish Jim all the best.”

In the statement, Lee said, “Promoting WiSA-compliant products and having the consumer and professional audio market adopt this high-quality wireless technology is an exciting prospect. My commitment is to bring together many key manufacturers to supply a wide-range of interoperable products at multiple price points across the wireless audio market.”
