Windsor Leaving German Maestro

Laguna Hills, Calif. — Aftermarket autosound veteran Ray Windsor will resign his position as president of German Maestro USA, which entered the car audio aftermarket about six years ago.

Windsor’s company, Leadership Systems Consulting, has also “discontinued its business relationship with German Maestro and its parent company Maestro Badenia,” he said.

“The last day of my tenure at German Maestro USA will be determined in the coming days or weeks,” he added.

In a statement to retailers, German Maestro indicated it will serve U.S. retailers directly from Obrigheim, Germany, said Windsor. “We have stopped all shipping and other business transactions with retailers from our Laguna Hills, Calif., office and warehouse.”

In his own letter to dealers, Windsor didn’t explain his reasons for leaving, but he said that “for the past six years, in partnership with the founders in Germany, I have put forth much effort, expended significant energy and engaged many resources aimed at the mission of building German Maestro into an important brand to the specialty retail community in the United States.” During that time, he continued, “we have enjoyed successes and suffered failures.”

For his next act, Windsor said, “I shall set about the business of finding a way to use my next 10 or so working years toward adding value to the business, and perhaps, personal lives of the people with whom I work.”

Windsor previously worked at Eclipse and was an Alpine rep.

He can be reached at his office at (949) 600-8195 for an as-yet undetermined period but can also be reached at [email protected]
