Santa Monica, Calif. — Sandy Gordon, 79, a longtime sales and marketing executive in the consumer electronics industry, passed away on March 29, here.
Gordon held sales, marketing and executive positions with several CE manufacturers over the last 50 years, including a long tenure with Sanyo and then Action TV.
His family reported that Gordon remained active very recently as a direct liaison with suppliers overseas, coordinating private-label programs with major accounts.
Born April 25, 1933, in Pendleton, Ore., he was a graduate of the University of Washington and a U.S. Naval officer. Gordon is survived by his children, Michael and Melissa; former wife Julie Gold; niece Sandy Langlois; and his best friend, Sam Arnstein.
The family said there will be a celebration of his life scheduled in the near future.
