Russound’s John Trimbach Dies, 61

Industry veteran John Trimbach died on Monday after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 61.

Trimbach was a sales rep for majap and CE distributor Eastco early in his career; he later went on to found Trimbach Associates, a manufacturer’s representative company, and was most recently a sales manager at Russound. He also held positions with Sookbox and Autonomic Controls.

Charlie Porritt, Russound CEO, issued the following statement: “On Monday, I learned about the passing of John Trimbach, Russound’s former regional sales manager and inside sales director. On behalf of the entire company, I’m saddened to lose a friend and industry colleague who left us too soon.

“John joined Russound in the spring of 2015, only to leave at the end of the year when his illness got the better of him. In the too-short time he was with us, he quickly earned the friendship and respect of everyone who worked with him. His positive attitude and good humor were contagious, and were matched only by the commitment and talent he brought to his role at the company.

“Everyone here at Russound misses John, and we send our heartfelt condolences to his wife and family.”

Trimbach — a lifelong resident of North Attleboro, Mass., where he was very active in his community — is survived by his wife, Michele, and his three daughters and their families.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 7, from 4 – 8 p.m. in St. Mary’s Church at 14 Park Street in North Attleboro. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 8, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, followed by burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Attleboro Falls.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to John Trimbach Scholarship Fund, c/o Bristol County Savings Bank, 96 Commonwealth Ave., Attleboro Falls, MA 02763.
