Monster’s Noel Lee Addresses United Nations Peace Charity

Monster founder Noel Lee delivered an address before a crowd of dignitaries and sports greats at the United Nations Peace Charity Dinner Gala in New York last month.

Lee spoke about the impact and power of music for healing, as well as the importance of entrepreneurship, in front of a crowd made up of athletes, diplomats, elected officials and sports industry executives. The gala, organized by the Union National Cultural Sports Foundation (UNCSF) and Athletes for Art Renaissance Tour (AART), honored athletes and artists working with various charitable organizations around the world to promote the arts and athletics, contribute to peace and understanding, and improve the human condition.

The UNCSF is a non-governmental and nonprofit organization that aims to help retired and disabled athletes in all sports and improve their quality of life through financial assistance and professional business training. The AART showcases the artwork and talents of athletes from all professional collegiate sports, donating portions of the proceeds from its exhibits to charitable partners.

Attending that evening were former basketball players Derek Anderson and Desmond Mason, as well as NFL wide receiver David Nelson.

Each honoree received a Monster SuperStar Blaster, as did the AART.

Lee, a member of the CE Hall of Fame, is no stranger to philanthropy; he’s active supporter of Segs4Vets, a non-profit that donates Segways to U.S. military who have sustained severe injuries while serving.
