Jeannette Howe Returns To BrandSource As Membership Director

Industry veteran Jeannette Howe is back at BrandSource after a 10-year absence.

Howe, who brings an extensive background of CE retail service, will serve as membership director for the $12 billion merchandising group.

Prior to re-joining, she served as business development VP at marketing services firm Revenew.

Before that she headed and helped launch Specialty Electronics Nationwide (SEN), the former A/V and custom install wing of the $15 billion Nationwide Marketing Group. The division later reformed as Home Technology Specialists Nationwide (HTSN) after forging an alliance with the Home Technology Specialists of America (HTSA) specialty group.

In her first go-round with BrandSource, Howe was national membership manager for Home Entertainment Source (HES), the group’s onetime CE division, which went on to merge with PRO Group to form ProSource.

She was also director of member services at the Professional AudioVideo Retailers Association (PARA), and began her career as an audio buyer for Magnolia HiFi, the former Northwestern A/V specialty chain that was acquired and subsumed by Best Buy.

In her new role, revealed at BrandSource’s spring convention, Howe will be “growing the BrandSource family with the right dealers and increasing our relevance with the vendor community,” she said, adding “I feel like I have come home.”

Added BrandSource president Tom Bennett: “The BrandSource management team is quite impressed with Jeannette’s extensive industry experience and we are thrilled to have her on board. Her deep understanding of the national buying group landscape will be a tremendous asset to BrandSource.  She knows the independent dealer community and genuinely enjoys working with them.”
