Jeannette Howe Heads To Transformative Engineering As Sales VP

Industry veteran Jeannette Howe has joined A/V and data communications device maker Transformative Engineering (T-E) as VP sales.

Howe, most recently membership director of the BrandSource/AVB buying group, brings an extensive background in custom integration and independent CE dealer service to her new post.

In her latest role, she has been charged with expanding and accelerating T-E’s current distribution plan, which was implemented by sales director Jonathan Ralston.

“We are extremely pleased to have Jeannette as a part of our team,” said T-E president Jay Trieber, citing her experience, industry contacts, insight, drive and sincerity.

“She also embraces our values of innovation, quality and customer service,” Trieber continued. “We are enthused to work together as we guide T-E into the next phase of our growth.”

Prior to BrandSource Howe served as business development VP at marketing services firm Revenew. Before that she headed and helped launch Specialty Electronics Nationwide (SEN), the former A/V and custom install wing of the $15 billion Nationwide Marketing Group. (The division later reformed as Home Technology Specialists Nationwide after forging an alliance with the Home Technology Specialists of America buying group.)

In a prior incarnation with BrandSource, Howe was national membership manager for Home Entertainment Source (HES), the group’s onetime CE division, which later merged with PRO Group to form ProSource.

Howe was also director of member services at the Professional AudioVideo Retailers Association (PARA), and is a contributor to TWICE. She began her career as an audio buyer for Magnolia HiFi, the former Northwestern A/V specialty chain that was acquired and subsumed by Best Buy.

T-E, based in Norwood, Mass., designs and manufactures upgraded audio, video and data communications devices and related components that are used by custom installers and systems integrators to create sophisticated home and commercial systems. The company was founded by Trieber; marketing VP Peter Tribeman; and CTO Engne Tang, who together sought to “build a better mousetrap” for the CI and systems integrator communities.
