Herrington Leaves Sharp, Sanduski Named Interim President

Mahwah, N.J. — John Herrington left Sharp Electronics Marketing Company of America (SEMCA) on Friday after more than four years as SEMCA president.

He has been replaced on an interim basis by Jim Sanduski, who retains his responsibilities as product marketing senior VP.

Herrington left “to pursue other opportunities,” Sharp said.

Sanduski has been with Sharp for three years and “has been a key part of the SEMCA management team with a broad understanding of the Sharp consumer business, future products and overall direction,” the company said.

Before Herrington came to Sharp, he was president of U.S. sales for LG Electronics. He also spent 10 years at Amana appliances in various marketing and sales roles and eventually became marketing VP and head of national account sales. In the 1980s, was with major appliance maker Speed Queen.
