ProSource, the A/V specialty and custom integration wing of the BrandSource buying group, has elected ETC’s Ted Bremekamp to its board of directors.
Bremekamp joined the West Palm Beach, Fla.-based custom integrator 12 years ago and was named chief technology officer in 2011.
He succeeds ProSource director Alan Guyes, corporate secretary of Audiotronics, who has served on the board for past two years.
“Ted and ETC truly represent the best-in-class in custom integration,” said ProSource chairman and Huppin’s/OneCall principal Murray Huppin. “The entire ProSource board is excited to welcome Ted’s leadership to our organization.”
Led by president/CEO Dave Workman, ProSource is a member-owned, not-for-profit buying cooperative comprised of BrandSource’s former Home Entertainment Source (HES) and Pro Group divisions. With more than 500 members and sell-through of over $4.5 billion, ProSource bills itself as the country’s largest specialty and CE merchandising group, which allows it to “negotiate stronger programs with manufacturers, help independent retailers stay relevant to consumers, and keep the specialty A/V channel competitive,” it said.
