West Chester, Ohio — Radar and laser detector manufacturer Escort named John A. Malone as sales senior VP in charge of all sales-related activities, including retail sales, direct-to-consumer sales, consumer service and sales support.
He also assumes responsibility for new brand-awareness and sales campaigns that will be launched to expand Escort’s market share.
All sales and sales administration, national account and territory managers, and regional international sales report direct to Malone, who in turn reports direct to Escort president/CEO David Thornhill.
Malone’s experience includes roles as Duracell account development VP, Gillette customer and commercial development VP, director of Duracell professional products at Procter and Gamble, and Masonite global retail sales and marketing senior VP.
Thornhill became president/CEO last year following the 2013 purchase of Escort by Monomoy Capital Partners, a New York City-based private-equity investment firm that in 2014 bought Escort rival Cobra Electronics.
