Chicago - Channel IQ
online pricing intelligence and channel management solutions developer, said
Monday that Panasonic has signed on to
use its platform to manage adherence to the minimum advertised price
(MAP) program in online sales.
Channel IQ said its services offer manufacturers the ability to automate
labor intensive price monitoring and channel partner communication processes,
in a quick and responsive way.
A MAP policy is part of an
overall dealer policy covering the purchase and sales of a given product line
where advertising restrictions are imposed to protect the integrity of a brand
in the marketplace.
ChannelIQ said its systems eliminate the delay in gathering and
delivering critical pricing data encountered when using internal or third-party
monitoring sources. This will help Panasonic
spot non-compliant discounting in advertisements, gray market sales and even
counterfeiting, ChannelIQ said.
