Carrollton, Texas - OnBoard Research is using the NAMM show, held Jan. 13-16 in Anaheim, Calif., to display what it's calling the first rechargeable Intellitouch guitar tuner.

The clip-on Intellitouch PT40 tuner, which is automatic and chromatic, features vibration-based tuning, a lithium-ion rechargeable battery, USB 2.0 interface and a charging cable. It has a single-button interface with a backlit LCD screen that displays the measured musical note and changes from red to green when the correct tuning is detected, the company said.

It will begin shipping in February for $49.95.
