Center Valley, Pa. - Olympus announced Thursday six finalists in the "Olympus Pen Your Story Challenge," who submitted videos to a special Olympus YouTube website.

The videos showed what each of the videographers would do with a new Olympus Pen E-PL1 portable camera hybrid interchangeable-lens camera, offering d-SLR photo and HD video quality and the compact size and simplicity of a point-and-shoot, and $5,000 to bring their creative vision to life.

The finalists were selected by a panel of Olympus judges and the YouTube community from hundreds of entries.

The selected entries include the following:

• "The Idea - Olympus Pen Contest" by comedic duo the DecimalBrothers

• "Olympus - Your Story - Blading" by sports daredevil Kevin Dowling

• "Olympus Pen Challenge: Summer Mentor" by positive philanthropist missptv9090

• "Olympus Pen - On A Bench Parody" by singer-songwriter Ninjapiano

• "Olympus Challenge - Neenah's Proposal" by art-house filmmaker SuperNeenah

• "Olympus Contest Entry - I'm a creator" by creative artist Taylordesignsthings

 
Only one finalist who creates the project with the Pen will win the grand prize: a trip for two to the U.S. Open Tennis Championship to see their work displayed on the giant video board. The winner will be announced in August.
