Naperville, Ill. — OfficeMax will expand the number of locations offering wide-format photo printing, the retailer announced this week.

The office retailer began offering wide-format printing in 500 of its stores using Canon’s imagePROGRAF W6400 printers last year. The printing service is offered through OfficeMax’s ImPress printing division.

The wide-format rollout will now be expanded to a total of over 900, encompassing the remaining ImPress locations. ImPress can create poster-sized photographic prints, presentations and signage.

OfficeMax is promoting the wide-format capability by offering a free 24-inch by 36-inch color poster (typically $29.99) of consumer’s favorite digital to anyone who buys a digital camera in their stores. The promotion runs through May 31.
