White Plains, N.Y. - Microsoft veteran Chris Weber has been appointed Nokia U.S. president and head of North America markets under Nokia's global restructuring plans.

Weber
He replaces Mark Louison as Nokia U.S. president.

Before joining Nokia, Weber operated a consulting business "focused on helping companies develop world-class sales cultures," Nokia said. He also spent 16 years at Microsoft in several senior executive positions in sales, marketing and professional services. His positions included corporate VP for Microsoft's U.S. enterprise and partner group.

"Chris's experience will be invaluable in helping us to establish our new ecosystem strategy in the market," said Colin Giles, sales executive VP.

Said Weber, "We will work relentlessly on winning the trust of our customers and the hearts of consumers."
