Lake Success, N.Y. - Toru Nishizawa has been named the new president of and CEO of Canon Virginia (CVI) and president of Industrial Resource Technologies (IRT), effective April 1.

Nishizawa replaces Yusaku Azuma, who will retire in March. Previously, Nishizawa had been CVI business and technology development executive VP at CVI and president and CEO of Canon U.S. life sciences. After the promotion, Nishizawa will continue in his role as president and CEO of Canon U.S. life sciences.

CVI, located in Newport News, Va., is Canon's largest manufacturing, engineering and technology center in the Americas.
