Melville, N.Y. — Nikon will ship a new DX lens to dealers this December.

The AF-S DX Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G lens features the firm’s Vibration Reduction optical image stabilization technology. The 3x optical zoom lens is designed for use in the company’s DX-series digital SLRs, including the D40x and new D300.

The lens will retail for a suggested $199.
