Zupnik Leaving Sears

3/13/2009 02:52:00 PM Eastern

Update! Hoffman Estates, Ill. — Jonathan Zupnik, Sears Holdings’ divisional merchandise manager for TV and A/V, is leaving the company this week for a post with an unidentified LCD TV vendor.

His successor has not yet been named.

Zupnik’s exit after more than 18 years with Sears marks the second recent change within the retailer’s CE unit, following the February appointment of Karen Austin as home electronics president.

Zupnik noted that his decision represents an opportunity to bring his 23 years of retail experience to the vendor side of the CE business, and is strictly independent of Sears.
