Redmond, Wash. - Starting
May 9, Nintendo will add Wii Sports
Resort game and control-enhancing Wii MotionPlus accessory to the baseline Wii
video game system package, the company said Tuesday.

The additions will
join the motion-sensing Wii Remote controller, Nunchuk controller and Wii
Sports game that are currently bundled with the game console.

Consumers also will
be able to choose between two color schemes for the Wii console and included
controllers: original white or a new black option.

The package price
will remain at a $199 suggested retail.

Wii Sports Resort
expands on the original Wii Sports game, adding resort-themed activities such
as wakeboarding, archery and swordplay. The game includes Wii MotionPlus
control enhancements with precision motion-control functionality.
