What Installers Will Find At CEDIA Expo

Atlanta – Multiple companies attending the CEDIA Expo will unveil products that send audio and video throughout a house over existing powerlines, wireless RF, or unused CAT-5 and coaxial cables dropped behind walls during new-home construction to future-proof a home.
They include Artison, Nuvo, Plaster Networks and Proficient.
Other companies exhibiting at the CEDIA Expo will launch more traditional multi-room-A/V electronics and installed speakers that, like any traditional multi-room system, can be used in new-home construction and remodeling jobs as well as in retrofit applications, though in retrofit applications, more labor-intensive wire pulling would be required.

New multi-room electronics and installed speakers will debut from such companies as Autonomic, Colorado Vnet, Revel, ReQuest, Russound, SpeakerCraft, Niles, JL Audio, JBL Synthesis, KEF, Lexicon and Request.
In traditional in-room speakers and stereo/home theater electronics, products will launch from Artison, Classe, KEF, Genelec, Wharfedale, Paradigm, Procella, Energy, Klipsch and McIntosh.
Also at the show, attendees will find URC expanding further into home control. Sandy Gross startup GoldenEars will demonstrate its first in-room speakers, and HDI Dune, a newcomer to the U.S. market from Europe, will launch Ethernet- and Wi-Fi-connected media players equipped with hard drive, Blu-ray transport, Internet streaming, memory card slots and USB ports. They’ll come with optional upgrade to let users adjust lighting, stream IP-based security camera video, and control Z-Wave enable home systems from a TV screen or mobile phone.
For its part, Professional Home Cinema (PHC), whose name recently changed to Pro Audio Technology, plans to show new in-walls and subwoofers to broaden its lineup for multi-room-audio applications, having focused on DSP-driven in-room and custom-installed speakers for home-theater application.
