Warrantech Picks Hicks For President

7/06/2006 08:47:00 AM Eastern

Bedford, Texas — Sean Hicks has returned to his role as president of Warrantech’s consumer product services division following a five-year absence from the extended-service contract provider.

Hicks fills a vacancy created by the departure last December of retail veteran Dave Workman, who now heads the Progressive Retailers Organization (PRO) buying group. Hicks had served as division president of Warrantech’s home and consumer products services divisions from 1997 to 2001, and most recently served as VP/general manager of CUNA Mutual Group. He will now be responsible for exploring new distribution channels, expanding relationships with retailers, and increasing sales within Warrantech’s existing customer base, while working to establish business relationships with new customers throughout the United States.

“Having worked with Sean early in his career, I am confident of his proven marketing ability and management skill,” said Joel San Antonio, chairman and CEO of Warrantech. “We are excited that Sean has decided to rejoin the Warrantech team.”
