Vuzix Shows Wrap Video Eyewear Add-Ons

LAS VEGAS – Vuzix will be showing two products at International CES
that can be used in conjunction with its Wrap video eyewear. The company can be
found at booth 8756 in the Central Hall.

The Wrap
CamAR stereo camera can be added to the Wrap video eyewear to upgrade the
device with AR capabilities. The CamAR can be clipped to the eyewear, providing
two cameras that each capture 752 by 480 images at 60 fps and deliver a single
1,504 by 480 side-by-side image that can be viewed in 3D stereoscopic video on
Vuzix Wrap eyewear.

Features
include USB 2.0, clip-in
installation, 1/3-inch-wide-VGA digital image sensor, 55dB linear dynamic
range, 99 shutter efficiency, 10-bit column-parallel ADC
resolution, and PC and Mac compatibility.

The Wrap
6-DoF IMU with Compass connects to any model of Wrap video eyewear and provides
the ultimate in dead-reckoning tracking, according to the company. It
reportedly provides 6 degrees of freedom tracking that utilizes multiple
magneto-resistive sensors, accelerometers and gyros for high accuracy. Programmers
can use the provided positioning and tracking algorithms or use their own, said
Vuzix.

Features
include USB 2.0, clip-on installation,
PC and Mac compatibility, 3-axis magneto-resistive sensors, 3-axis
accelerometers, 3-axis gyros, 12-bit resolution at 100KHz sample rate (on
board), activity/inactivity monitoring and free-fall detection.

Pricing
and shipping information will be available at the show.
