VTech Announces Dealers for Vonage Phone

New York — Cordless phone maker VTech announced dealers today for its Vonage-enabled 5.8GHz expandable cordless phone system.

The IP8100-2 will sell through Best Buy, Circuit City, Staples, Sears, Office Depot, and Sam's Club starting July 24.

The phone, announced at CES, has a suggested retail price of $149.99. There will be a $50 mail in rebate after sixty days of service.

The ip8100-2 ships with two handsets and is expandable to up to a total of four handsets ($49.99 suggested). The phone’s base station plugs into a broadband modem or router and works with Vonage’s VoIP telephony network.
