Vizualogic, Audiovox Trade Lawsuits

Corona, Calif. — TMI Products, which sells Vizualogic car video systems, said it filed a patent infringement suit against Audiovox in response to Audiovox’s suit against TMI filed in December.

TMI’s suit, filed with the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, alleges that Audiovox infringes on two of TMI’s patents relating to a headrest with a built-in video screen.

Audiovox’s earlier suit accused TMI of infringement on patents related to both headrests and overhead car video displays and was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

TMI said it will vigorously defend itself against Audiovox’s claims and believes Audiovox’s complaint is without merit, said TMI CEO Gene Tuccinardi

Audiovox said its executives were not available for comment at this time.
