Irvine, Calif. – Vizio said
Tuesday that it has begun shipping to dealers around the country a 7-inch
portable edge-lit Razor LED LCD TV.
The portable TV model VMB070 ($160 suggested retail) will enable
tuning ATSC-delivered digital television stations on the go and will display
images on an 800 by 480 pixel widescreen panel.
The set features an integrated antenna and a sleek design with a
unit depth measuring less than an inch thick.
In addition, the unit will double as a digital photo frame for
bedside or desktop placement. Digital image files can be played through the
on-board USB port.
Other features include touch sensitive TV controls and a 3.5 hour
per charge battery life.
“People want to take entertainment on the go, and there is no
reason to sacrifice a quality picture in order to do so,” stated Laynie
Newsome, Vizio co-founder and VP. “We have been able to add back the fun in
watching TV and given it a great picture too. I know how popular it is going to
be first-hand – I had to fight my family for it again this morning.”
The set measures 8.2 by 5.75 by 0.75 inches and weighs 1 pound.
It is available now at select Walmart stores and through
