Vigilant Bows Personal Alarm Products

Minneapolis –

Vigilant Personal Protection Systems

has
introduced a pair of pocket-sized personal emergency alarms.

The high-pitched
alarm is intended to scare off an assailant while switching the element of
surprise from the attacker to the victim.

The Vigilant PPS8B
and Vigilant PPS8G emit a 130dB alarm when activated to ward off attackers and
call the attention of passersby. The PPS8B is available in blue and the PPS8G
is available in gray and resemble a USB thumb drive.

The alarms come
with a lifetime limited warranty against manufacturing defects, and are both
available now on Amazon.com at a $14.99 selling price.

Both units are
powered by user replaceable AAA batteries (included), and are activated by
pulling the pin for up to 1 hour of continuous piercing alarm. The 130dB alarm
is 10dBs louder than a typical ambulance siren.

Both alarms are
equipped with a bright white LED mini flash light for low light emergency illumination.

According to
Vigilant, personal alarms are one of the fastest growing retail product
segments in the self defense industry.

Personal alarms
are legal to carry in all 50 states (even on airplanes) and offer a safe and effective
deterrent to attackers, they said.

The devices
require no training or skill to operate, and can be used by anyone regardless
of age or physical ability.

Vigilant said a
percentage of the sale from each personal alarm will be donated to missing
children’s funds and non-profit personal safety organizations nationwide.
