ViewSonic Offering iPod Support On New Displays

New York – ViewSonic launched what is it calling the first PC monitor featuring an iPod dock.

The dock is included in two units introduced on Oct. 11, the 19W-inch VX1945 and 22W-inch VX2245wm. Respective suggested retail prices are $329 and $449.

These are part of ViewSonic’s plan to simplify its consumer’s digital lives, the company said.

Also featured on the display’s chassis are four USB ports, a microphone, an 8 in 1 flash card reader and a 2.1 speaker set. The subwoofer is inset in the display’s base. The monitors have a 16:10 aspect ratio with the larger screen have a resolution of 1,680 by 1,050 and the smaller is rated at 1,440 by 900.
