ViewSonic Adds 24-Inch 1080p 3D Monitor

Walnut, Calif. – ViewSonic introduced today a 24-inch Full HD 3D LED edge-lit LCD monitor featuring a built-in NVIDIA 3D Vision wireless emitter and active-shutter 3D glasses.

Model V3D245, shipping this month at a $499 suggested including a pair of 3D glasses, offers a 120Hz refresh rate and 2ms response time. Includes HDMI 1.4 input supporting the latest Blu-ray Disc 3D standard source material, and will present both 2D and 3D material in 1920 by 1080p Full HD resolution.

The “dynamic” contrast ratio is listed as 20,000,000:1 and the brightness level is 300 nits.

The integrated NVIDIA 3D Vision wireless emitter relays 3D control signals to NVIDIA’s active-shutter 3D glasses and will connect to an NVIDIA GeForce-equipped PC with access to more than 550 Full HD 1080/60fps 3D games, as well as 3D videos, 3D photos, and 3D web content.

The monitor will also connect to Blu-ray 3D players, and the Sony PS3 gaming console with 3D support via the standard HDMI 1.4 input.

Sound is supported by integrated two-watt SRS Premium Sound audio speakers.

“Gamers, movie buffs and photo enthusiasts will love moving up to 3D. And there’s no better way to do so than with ViewSonic’s V3D245 3D monitor, with its built-in NVIDIA 3D Vision technology, which produces the most immersive and crystal clear 3D images,” said Phil Eisler, NVIDIA 3D Vision general manager. “Set-up is quick and easy. Simply connect the monitor to your NVIDIA GeForce graphics card, put on the included NVIDIA 3D Vision glasses, and start enjoying games, videos and photos in a whole new way.”

The V3D245 is supported by ViewSonic’s pixel performance guarantee and 3-year limited warranty.
