Verizon's iPhone 4 Debut Spawns Accessory Intros

New York - On the
birthday of a new network of iPhone 4 users, accessories suppliers raced to
reach market with add-ons designed for the new Verizon model.

Kensington's Charge and Sync Dock with Wall Adapter

Kensington
announced its Charge and Sync Dock with Wall Adapter is available exclusively
in Verizon carrier stores beginning today.

The dock allows
simultaneous syncing and charging of the iPhone when attached to a PC and is
packaged with a USB charge and sync cable, an AC adapter and inserts to
accommodate iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G and iPod Touch.

The compact dock
is black, less than 3.5 inches long and weighs about 3.5 ounces. It retails for
$39.99.

iKit made its
NuCharge case available today for both the AT&T and Verizon iPhone 4.

This 6mm-thick
black lightweight protective case includes a rechargeable 1,400 mAh lithium-polymer
battery, enough to double the battery life of the iPhone, the company said.

 The MoGo Talk XD2 features a snap-in collapsible Bluetooth headset.

The backup battery
is activated by an on/off switch, and a blue LED battery life indicator
displays amount of backup time left.

A kickstand is
integrated into the case for landscape and video viewing, and full access to
all buttons is maintained.

The NuCharge is
available at www.ikit.com in a black finish for $64.95.

Mophie announced a
new version of its Juice Pack Air external rechargeable battery case that is
compatible with both the Verizon and AT&T iPhone 4.

Key features
include a 1,500 mAh rechargeable lithium-polymer battery, a soft-touch
rubberized finish in black with a brushed silver band that mirrors the
aesthetic of the iPhone 4, acoustic sound enhancement by redirecting sound from
the bottom of the iPhone 4 to the front, four-light LED battery status
indicator, standby/charging switch, and charge and sync cable.

Pre-orders
are being taken now with an expected ship date of Feb. 28 for the black and
silver case, which retails for $79.95 In the coming weeks, soft-touch red and
glossy white versions will be made available.

iLuv was typically
out of the gate early when it began shipping on Monday a full line of cases for
the Verizon iPhone.

Models include a
leatherette clip case, a titanium case with a metallic and chrome finish, a
full-coverage translucent rubber case in three colors, a full-coverage clear
rubber case, a Flex-Gel case in five colors, a Flex-Trim case with bumper-type
protection in five colors, a  glow-in-the
dark case, a silicone case in five colors, and a sports armband. Prices range
from $14.99 to $49.99

In addition, the
company is offering two SKUs of its quad-layer screen protector film, an
anti-glare version and a clear version, for $14.99 and $12.99, respectively.

The products can
be seen and ordered on iLuv's
website
and at specialty retailers nationally, including Fry's and J&R
Music World.

iChair, which
debuted its iDevice case with integrated kickstand in January, confirmed the
product is compatible with the Verizon iPhone 4.

The soft rubber
iDevice has a portrait/landscape adjustable kickstand and includes a dust
cloth, screen protectors and squeegee boards. It comes in black with an extra
top slider case in either blue or white. It retails for $34.

Cases are also
available for the iPad, iPod Touch and iPhone 3G/S.

Ballistic has
introduced a Verizon-compatible version of its ruggedized Ballistic HC iPhone 4
case.

The Ballistic HC
offers five layers of protection, the company said, comprised of an inner
rubber for finish and drop/shock protection, rigid structural frame, outer
shock-absorption rubber, a removable outer silicone rubber shock-absorption
layer with connector plug/seals, and screen protector film.

The Verizon
version of the Ballistic HC case is currently available at retailers nationwide
as well as www.goballisticcase.com for $49.99.

Last week, ID8-Mobile
announced its MoGo Talk XD2, a protective case with an integrated Bluetooth
headset designed specifically for Verizon's iPhone 4 and compatible with the
AT&T model also, would begin shipping.

The headset
features a folding boom that enables it to fold flat, snaps into the case for
storage and charging. Both sport a carbon black finish.

The MoGo Talk XD2
includes the MoGo Talk headset, Easy-Grip case, six different ear buds and
MicroUSB charging cable, and has a suggested retail of $99.99.

Finally, OtterBox has
made its Defender series of Apple iPhone 4 cases compatible with Verizon's
iPhone.

"The Defender
Series has been our most popular line of cases for the iPhone 4," said OtterBox
founder and CEO Curt Richardson. "This opportunity with Verizon will allow us
to provide the same quality solution to these new users."

The Defender series
features a polycarbonate shell with built-in screen protector and finished with
an impact-absorbing silicone skin that covers all ports and plugs, protecting
them from wear and debris while allowing for access. A holster-style swivel
belt clip that doubles as a media stand is also included.

OtterBox said it
will soon offer universal iPhone 4 cases in its Impact series, Commuter series
and Reflex series lines of cases. The lines can be seen at www.otterbox.com.
