Charlotte, N.C. – Just
in time for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, Verbatim
introduced a variety of pink CE accessories and a portable hard drive.
A portion of sales
proceeds from the line will be donated to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure
charity, with a minimum guaranteed donation of $25,000. The line and the
proceeds are part of a larger campaign, started earlier this month by Verbatim,
known as the Think Pink! campaign. Products in the line include the following:
• Optical Travel Mouse
Mini: a hot-pink travel mouse with a retractable USB cord. For every unit sold,
Verbatim will donate $1.
• Acclaim hard drive:
The 500GB hard drive features USB Turbo Speed, preloaded backup software, a
free 60-day trial of Norton Online Backup, and a seven-year limited warranty.
The drive comes packaged in a limited-edition box with a pink ribbon and dove
design. For every unit sold, Verbatim will donate $8.
• 30- and 60-pack CD-R: The
drives feature pink designs, limited-edition packaging and a lifetime warranty.
Verbatim will donate 75 cents for a 30-pack, and $1.25 for a 60-pack.
• 60-pack DVD-R: Also
featuring pink designs, the discs have 4.7GB capacities. Verbatim will donate
$1.50 for every unit sold.
