URC Courts Pronto Dealers

Harrison, N.Y. – URC is reaching out to dealers of its now-defunct
rival, Philips Pronto, by offering free webinars on which URC remotes can
replace the Pronto models

that
are being discontinued

, and providing instruction for using CCP, URC’s
universal programming platform. 

The webinars will take place this Thursday, Nov. 11, at 3:00
p.m., and Friday, Nov. 12 (two sessions), at 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. (all
EST).

Attendance is limited and all attendees must join, or be members
of, URC University, which is also free. Dealers can sign up for URC University

All Pronto dealers who attend one of the webinars will be allowed
to purchase a URC remote control at a deep discount.

URC is offering its MX-880 wand-style IR/RF PC programmable hard-button
remote control with color LCD for $75 (regular retail: $499); and its MX-5000
two-way wand-style touchscreen color LCD Wi-Fi IR/RF remote control for $199
(regular retail: $1,199).

The MX-880 offers IR routing and RF addressing with optional MRF
series RF base station; can control up to 48 devices with up to eight pages
each; utilizes PC-programmable usage variables to track power status and
distinguish users; and has a motion sensor that detects movement and activates
the remote’s backlighting feature.

The MX-5000 features IP control of many popular IP-based
components, haptic feedback that confirms touchscreen button selections, a PC
programmable, and a fully customizable GUI on a 2.8-inch color LCD touchscreen.
The remote integrates IP cameras, lighting (Lutron systems), HVAC and Windows
Media PC.

To qualify, dealers must provide a copy of an invoice or receipt
for a Philips Pronto remote control that was purchased in the name of the
dealership within the past six months. URC reserves the right to limit
quantities and to disqualify suspicious documentation. There is a limit of one
remote control per dealer. Orders must be received by URC no later than next
Friday, Nov. 19.
