Irving, Texas — Uniden announced a DECT/VoIP wireless system specifically geared toward small- and medium-business owners.
The EXP1240 wireless system uses DECT wireless technology over an IP network (LAN). It’s said to provide seamless roaming and hand-off on up to 40 DECT access points without interference from other wireless networks. A single access point can support as many as eight cordless handsets, and the system can support up to 200 cordless handsets on a single network segment, said Uniden. Up to four lines can be supported.
Other features include multiple codecs, over-the-air synchronization, a wideband two-way speakerphone, an integrated site survey tool for setup, caller ID, call waiting, call transfer, backlit color LCD display, illuminated keypad, and phone directory/dialer.
