New York – TWICE’s second annual VIP Awards program has added home automation to its lineup of product categories, and its deadline has been extended to Wednesday, April 30.
The home-automation category will include the following sub-categories: home-automation hubs, wireless multiroom audio systems, wireless multiroom video systems, video security cameras, thermostats, wireless door locks, lighting systems, networked window shades/coverings, smart electrical plugs and connected LED light bulbs.
The TWICE VIP Awards program is voted on only by retailers and distributors and is based on product features, product design and value to consumers. They must be products that have been sold at retail in the U.S., or are scheduled to be sold at retail, from Nov. 1, 2013, to April 1, 2014.
Manufacturers interested in having their products entered in the TWICE VIP Award competition can enter online at TWICE.com/VIP.
The entries will include a 250 words or fewer description of the product features, when it was (or will be) shipped to retailers, and one high-res picture for use with the ballot. Manufacturers can enter as many products as they want, in as many categories as they want.
The entry fee is $250 per product nominated. Deadline for nominee submissions is Wednesday, April 30.
Once all the nominees have been submitted, online voting will begin, scheduled to start Monday, May 5, and run through Friday, June 27. Once ballots have been reviewed by TWICE editors, winners will be announced in early July. The TWICE VIP Award winners will all be featured in the Aug. 11 print and digital editions of TWICE, which will feature the list of nominees and profiles of the winning products.
